After Rene Jules Lalique (French,1860-1945), "Spirit of the Wind", molded and frosted figural glass mounted walking stick or cane. Tapered bird's eye maple columnar shaft surmounted with work after Lalique's iconic Art Deco female beauty with open mouth and long hair blown back. Cane length approximately 35.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Surface scratches, flea bites and loss of finish to the glass figural mount. Figural mount is apparently unmarked. Wood shaft is structurally sound but lacking ferrule (cap) to the base.
