After Angelo Asti (French, 1847-1903). "Portrait du Femme", hand painted porcelain plaque, apparently unsigned. A shadowbox framed porcelain miniature depicting a Botticelli-esque brunette beauty in profile with a red drape fallen off her shoulders to reveal her sumptuous breast. Overall framed approximately 11.125" x 10.25". Plaque approximately 3.25" x 2.75".
Porcelain examined out of the frame. Front with light surface scratches commensurate with general handling; no apparent chips or cracks; under black light examination, no apparent repairs or in painting. Interior gilt frame with minor gilt loss - not distracting. Outer black shadowbox with loose molding to top edge, some minor paint loss and surface scratches throughout.
