A 1965 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 hollowbody electric guitar, model #6120, serial #80858, in orange finish with maple top, sides, and back, mother of pearl fret markers on a two piece maple neck, inlaid border around edges, decoration on headstock with "Gretsch", on steel bridge with embossed "Gretsch by Bigsby", and on gold tone guard with a facsimile of Chet Atkins signature above company logo, with pickups inscribed "U.S. Pat. 289237" and serial number impressed on top of headstock. Black leather pad snaps on to back of guitar. Guitar approximately 42" long. Accompanied by a hard case, likely original, with brown felt interior and leather handle. Appears to be in working condition.
Appraised by Atlanta Vintage Guitars of Woodstock, Georgia. Overall 8/10 score. Otherwise all parts appear to be original. New strings 2/4/15. Appears to be in good working condition.
