Flemish and German (15th-17th centuries). A collection of six small stained and painted glass panels mounted in a later custom wooden frame comprising a late 15th century German roundel depicting the Resurrection; a 16th century Flemish oval panel depicting the Scourging of Christ; a 17th century Flemish arched rectangular panel depicting the Disputation of Christ; a 17th century Flemish rectangular panel depicting St. Peter trying to walk on water; a late 16th/ early 17th century Flemish rectangular panel depicting St. Nicholas and Gertrude; and a 16th century Flemish roundel depicting the Annunciation to the Shepherds. Overall approximate height 63.75", width 13.75". Individual panel approximate dimensions from top to bottom 7.5" diameter, 9" x 7", 9.375" x 8.125", 7,875" x 6.5", 10.25" x 8.25", and 8.5" diameter. Provenance: each panel acquired by the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia from The Monastery Stained Glass, Northamptonshire, England in a private sale on September 13 and 14th, 2004. Note: St. Nicholas and St. Gertrude panel previously sold by Sotheby's London on May 3, 1955 as part of lot 103.
