A 1959 Gibson ES355 hollow body electric guitar with cherry finish, factory #S66128, with maple top, back and sides, two gold tone pick-ups, mother of pearl block inlaid fret markers on mahogany neck, trapeze tailpiece inscribed with Bigsby logo and patent number, with Gibson logo in inlaid mother of pearl on headstock above geometric embellishment, and tortoiseshell style guard. Factory number stamped on interior body behind left F hole. Approximately 42" long. Accompanied with likely original leather hard case with flame orange velvet molded interior.
Appraised by Atlanta Vintage Guitars of Woodstock, Georgia. Overall 8/10 score. Pickups with original covers but changed to patent number parts, some binding shrinkage, refretted. Otherwise likely original. New strings 2/4/15. Appears to be in good working condition.
