Italian, mid 20th Century. Three pieces of Venetian Salviati figural or 'fantasy' stemmed art glass pieces comprised of a candleholder and a pair of twin handled votives. The candleholder with ribbed shell form filled with gold flecked aventurine supported by two seahorses with ruffled pale blue bodies and eyes of black/yellow murrhines on a circular gold flecked aventurine foot. The pair of handled votives with pale blue squat body and scalloped rim, mounted to each side with handles with applied gold flecked aventurine rigaree and supported by stylized dolphin base in gold flecked aventurine, the eyes of black/yellow murrhines on a circular pale blue foot All apparently unmarked. Seahorse candleholder height 8.6", width 5.25. Votive height 6.5" width 3.8". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Joyce Lowenstein, Atlanta.
Repair to tall candleholder where stem joins to top of sea horses. Not readily seen (see image 7). No other chips, cracks or damage.
