Group of two Sitzendorf Napoleonic military figures on horseback comprising of Marshal of France and Grand Admiral or Admiral of France Joachim-Napoléon Murat (French, 1767-1815); and Prince Józef Antoni Poniatowski (Polish, 1763-1813), Polish leader, general, minister of war and army chief, who later became the Marshal of the French Empire. Each with gilt accents throughout and with figure on a rearing white horse. Name in gilt at center of base, back of base with Sitzendorf mark. Poniatowski approximate height 11.6", width 8.3", depth 3.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Jane O. Day of Atlanta, Georgia.
Both are in very good condition. No damage or repairs to either figural sculpture. Both pieces have some rough porcelain where a piece of tail or mane on horse might not have been fully glazed.
