- Lot Description
Continental, 20th century. Collection of two hand decorated majolica glazed ceramic figural garden seats or ottoman stools, comprising of a pair depicting blue and gold stacks of four floor pillows, each pillow with corner tassels, each pillow with scrolled acanthus leaf patterning, each stool apparently unmarked. Overall approximately 18.25" x 19.5".
Condition
Overall with dirt and grime; pair would benefit from light cleaning. Each with scattered glazing imperfections. Each with glaze loss to tassels, not particularly distracting. Each with crazing to glazing. Each with areas of glaze loss to edges of cushions commensurate with abrasion from use. Each foot with losses, chips and wear commensurate with use, stable and not distracting.
