Group of two Continental (Late 19th/Early 20th century) porcelain figurines of male (Meissen) and female (Sevres). Sevres porcelain figurine depicting a lady in elaborate green gown with lace sleeves and holding a folding fan in left hand, Sevres blue mark under glaze on corner of lady's gown. Meissen porcelain gentleman elaborately dressed in a light green riding coat and pants, holding black hat in right hand and pointing to whippet at his feet, figure standing on naturalistic integral base, Meissen blue double crossed pommel swords under glaze on bottom of base. Female approximately 9.75" x 7.5" x 7.25". Male approximately 9.5" x 3.75" x 5.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
Woman with minor wear to gilt, hat with two chipped elements at top on floral accent, additional chips on floral accent at waist, underside with three visible brown hairline fractures, however, structurally stable, light wear to bottom commensurate with age and light shelf use. Man with losses to lace around wrists, paint and gilt in good condition, minor separation crack visible at back where trunk meets bottom edge of jacket, fracture on underside of dog where body meets base, both fractures visible but structurally sound, light wear to bottom commensurate with age and shelf use. Man also with missing finger. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
