French, likely 19th century. A small hand painted porcelain urn of typical form in the manner of Sevres with square pedestal surmounted by turned form cobalt blue foot and vasiform structure with hand painted floral medallion to front of body and gilt over cobalt blue floral and foliate decoration to backside of body, with ram's mask applied handles to opposite ends of body flanking floral medallion, and flared rim at top with gilt banding. Apparently unmarked. Approximately 7.375" tall x 5.125" wide.
Minor wear to gilt enamel. Minute flea bites to exterior rim. Unprofessional restoration in the form of a new ram's head applied handle (see image 3). No chips to base.
