- Lot Description
Italian, 19th century. A classical style fireplace mantel comprising oxidized purplish marble in the rosso levanto palette decorated with a molded and paneled serpentine curved frieze with central relief-carved shell, the sides each with a projecting paneled corbel terminating in columns resting on plinths. Approximate height 44.25", width 51.50", depth 12.5".
