- Lot Description
Italian, 19th century. Large Italian Rococo style overmantel mirror, the giltwood carved frame with arched rectangular plate surmounted by a mirrored C scrolled and foliate cresting, the mirror having three sections mounted with winding tendrils at top, surrounded by a molded frame. Height 59.5", width 41".
Condition
Overall very good condition. Traces of red bole. Small repairs to a couple of leafy scrolls, not distracting. Minute chips to giltwood. Mirror plate replaced.
