French, late 19th century. A Neo-Gothic wood bird cage in the form of a cathedral with tall central structure flanked to left and right by flying buttresses enclosing the sie, the whole with ornately reticulated scroll work. Approximate height 27.25", width 17.375", depth 12.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
Structurally sound and overall very good condition. There is a minor chip to the top central point. Minor breaks in the interlaced fretwork of scrolling and Gothic motif that are not obvious nor do they affect integrity. There is no working latch for the door. There is a missing latch to each side of the bottom removable slide-out feed trough (originally with two latches per side). Wire is all intact.
