Creil et Montereau - Lebeuf, Milliet & Co. (French, 1840-76). Patinated bronze mounted faience center bowl with pierced bronze scrolled foliate rim flanked by dragon's head handles with drop rings, on body of tin glazed French majolica bowl with large flowers and leaves in turquoise, blue, green, yellow and pink, foot of bowl mounted to base with pierced lappets and supported on four elephant's head mounts with tusks and scrolled trunks. Underside of porcelain with impressed mark "LM&C" under "Montereau". Overall approximate height 8.2", diameter of base 14.75".
Structurally sound and overall very good condition. One screw replaced to interior from handle mounts. Opposite side with fracture (probably from pressure of handle mount). Fracture is vertical from rim approximately 2.5" however not obvious or distracting. There is scattered gilt and color loss as would be expected from age and usage. No other issues noted.
