Chinese export, late 19th/ early 20th century Qing Dynasty. A famille rose bowl decorated with square and rectangular cartouches of floral bands to exterior in cobalt underglaze and filled with colorful overglaze floral clusters, the interior with a floral medallion surrounded by a ring of floral patterning and fleur-de-lis band, with a band of hexagonal patterning to interior rim. Unmarked. Approximate diameter 10.375", height 4.125".
Light wear to enamel painted overglaze. Scattered remnants of gilt present. Minor scattered flea bites to rim, not particularly noticeable. Bowl with two hairline fractures, one running down side of bowl. Other running diagonal along interior below (also visible from under side of foot). Few scattered glazing imperfections throughout. Slight scattered dirt & grime throughout, would benefit from light, professional cleaning. Bottom with slight wear, commensurate with age & shelf use. Under blacklight examination, no further signs of loss, damage, or repair.
