- Lot Description
A handmade red coral and diamond pin or brooch circa 1960s having a large natural cabochon cut dark red coral specimen (approximately 30mm x 19mm) set in 18k yellow gold and surrounded by a total of 50 natural diamonds in modern round brilliant cut, ranging in size from 1.4mm to 2.6mm, (overall approximately 1.10 carats, color range: G-J, clarity range: Si2-I1), with stick pin and alternate findings to back. Marked to finding "750" and "F.E.G." Acid tested as 18k gold quality. Approximately 1.5" x 1" x 0.75".
Condition
All stones present. Pin closure functioning. Center stone stable in setting, with minor surface abrasion; commensurate with age and use.
