- Lot Description
Harry Bouras (American, b. 1931- ), "Trophy II" - 1966, found and re-purposed iron industrial parts, monogrammed, titled, and dated to underside "HBD". Abstract Expressionist sculpture created from roughly soldered iron with tall structure surmounting tripod footed base, with various reticulated holes and slices throughout the jagged structure resembling a rocky formation. Overall approximately 16" tall, 15.5" wide, 14.75" deep.Provenance: From the Estate of Shirley Litt, Chicago Illinois whereby sold by Bunte Auction Services, Elgin, Illinois to a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
All metal sculpture composed of re-purposed iron parts with inherent flaws to surface. Minor abrasions to curving top edge and protruding side edge. Drip of white substance to top, possibly original to sculpture.
