Westmoreland Glass Company (American, 1889-1984) for DeVilbiss Corporation (American, founded 1888), circa 1927. Four piece deluxe vanity set #6001 comprising the dresser tray VT-1003, vanity jar VJ-809, J-9 perfumizer and DJ-9 perfume dropper. The tray and jar were manufactured by the Westmoreland Glass Company then decorated by DeVilbiss. The J-9 perfumizer and DJ-9 perfume dropper having "Old Rose" enameled acid cutback bottles with gold and orange enameled leaf and vine pattern, finished with satin gold metal fittings; the metal caps on both with an embossed pattern that coordinates with the bottle's decoration. The top of the oval tray and vanity jar lid in matching décor. The perfumizer, dropper and jar are all signed to the underside "DeVilbiss Made in USA". Tray is apparently not marked. Approximate height of perfumizer 6.5". Approximate height of dropper 6". Approximate width of tray 10.5". Approximate height of jar 2.75", diameter 4.5". Note: Documented in Devilbiss Perfume Bottles 1907 to 1968 by DeGraaf, Marti and Mack, Toby, Schiffer Publishing, page 135 and the Deluxe vanity set 6001, page 198.
