Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. (English (London), 1880-1952), circa 1908. An ornately pierced and molded sterling silver footed console bowl or basket of oblong form with splayed lattice and scroll pierced foot surmounted by reeded ring issuing an ovular bowl with radiating raised bands, the basket's upper half with a band of floral swags on a reeded band set under a tall band of reticulated latticework alternating with pierced scrolling decoration terminating at top with an undulating rim, both sides of body with blank medallions suspending by ribbon bows and with large scrolling acanthus leaf handles to opposite sides connected to rim on either side by flower garlands. Approximate width 14.75", depth 8.25", height 7.25". Approximate weight 44.3 troy ounces.
Overall in very good condition. Surface generally with light surface scratches commensurate with age and light use. No apparent monograms or removals. No apparent repairs, dents, or losses.
