French, 18th century. Louis XV walnut buffet with cross-banded rectangular molded top over a pair of frieze drawers centered by a stylized thistle over a pair of shaped panel molded doors divided by a fluting above a serpentine apron centered with carved floral filled urn and raised on squat cabriole legs. Height 41.5", width 53", depth 24".
Structurally sound. Shrinkage to the top at seam (see image #7). Missing lock to one drawer. One running board to interior right replaced. Interior covered in paper, glued down. Interior left front stile missing wood secured with large screw. Prior worm wood damage. Small oval patch to front bottom right. Scattered chips and nicks commensurate with age and usage.
