Li Wu (Chinese, 1632-1718). "Mountain Landscape", ink and watercolor on silk, signed upper left with artist's seal. A scroll painting depicting a mountainous landscape with pond or lake to foreground bearing a single figure floating in a boat upon it beneath an overhanging tree, the background with tall mountains with a narrow river between them at left and a small house or structure to right just in front. Inscribed with six lines of black calligraphic marks at top left beside a signature over two red square seal marks. The painting to a cream silk surround on stained wood roller. Overall approximately 81" long x 35" wide.
Surface scratches to exterior commensurate with age and light handling. Light wear to bottom commensurate with age and shelf use. Approximately eight scattered small dimples under glaze (appear to be original to piece) and perhaps tool impressions. Wooden base with large wood loss to underside and carved edge, some smaller losses. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
