19th century. 17 piece gray and blue porcelain comprising of a footed centerpiece compote or tazza (height 8", width (across handles) 14.125"), two circular serving bowls with pierced handles (diameter 9"), two elongated oblong serving dishes (11" x 9"), and twelve circular plates (diameter 9"), all with molded leaf motif on edges highlighted in cobalt blue with band on tondo. Marked on bottom with impressed star or asterisk.
Some pieces have discoloration of glaze and crazing. Some color loss. Oblong handled serving dish with tight fracture and old repair with staples at handle (see image #10). There are two circular plates with significant losses. Minor chipping and flaking to most of the other plates typically at leaf tips. Tazza has been repairs with glue across bowl and at handle.
