A 150+ piece set of Strasbourg pattern (discontinued between 1897-1950) sterling silver flatware comprising of 10 pieces service for 12 plus additional pieces, the set comprising of 12 hollow handle dinner knives (9.5"), 12 hollow handle luncheon knives (8.75"), 12 dinner forks (7.75"), 12 luncheon forks (7"), 12 salad forks (6.5"), 12 oval soup spoons (7"), 12 round bowl soup spoons (6.25"), 24 teaspoons (5.875"), 12 oyster forks (5.5"), 10 flat handle butter spreaders (6"), 8 iced tea spoons (7.5"), 8 demitasse spoons (4"), 1 master butter knife (6.75"), 1 sugar shell spoon (6"), 1 jelly server (6"), 4 solid table spoons/ serving spoons (8.5"), 1 solid serving fork (8.5"), 1 solid gravy ladle (6.75"), and 1 Small Stainless Blade 2-Piece Steak Carving Set (4" handles). The flatware contained in a Reed & Barton branded mahogany veneered chest with one drawer and hinged top, with brown felt interior and gold hardware. Each piece marked to underside with the lion, anchor and "G' mark over "1897" and beside "STERLING". Total approximate weight 221.8 troy ounces (weight adjusted to accommodate for stainless knife blades).
