Hutschenreuther, C.M., Royal Bavarian (German, founded 1814), circa 1927-1939. A matched set of twelve cabinet or dinner plates having a scalloped gold rim, the ivory field with gold decoration of flowering scrolls, diaper lattice and shells and elaborately fired gold band between gold decorated borders with a splash of green near the rim. Each plate marked on back with green hallmark 'Royal Bavarian' over a crown resting on an oval enclosing a lion above 'China' surmounting 'Hutschenreuther' above 'Selb/Bavaria' along with the retailers name in cartouche 'Edgerton'. Approximate diameter 10.5".
Overall very good condition. One plate has mild stain or discoloration to the center. A couple of plates have minor gilt loss to decorative gilt enamel banding (see images #2 & #3). One plate with a chip to rim (see image #5).
