Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century. A twelve piece collection of rooster motif Chinese export porcelain comprising of a matched set of 9 dinner plates decorated to center with five roosters in a landscape and to rim with alternating cartouches of prunus fruit or birds and geometric patterning, marked to underside in white hand painted marks, likely for Guangxu Period (1875-1908); two matched motif teacups with slightly different handling; and one saucer. Plates approximately 10" diameter, cups approximately 3.75", saucer approximately 5.75" diameter.
Wear to gilt on rim of tea cups and plates, commensurate with age & usage. Minute flea bite on gilt enamel of saucer. Three plates with paint loss to rim. One plate with minute flea bite.
