  On September 18, 2020, less than two months before what might be the most important election in the history of our country, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away. This iconic groundbreaking lawmaker and feminist was one of several American leaders that the Victory Garden Collective looked to for inspiration as it began creating publicly-engaged art projects that aimed to “initiate conversation and action.”
  
  As our country declined into political turmoil since the 2016 election, people worldwide began using RBG’s image and words to galvanize them in the fight for justice. Upon her passing, May Her Memory Be A Revolution, became a shared moniker for the collective loss felt, and an acknowledgment of the truly revolutionary life she led.
  
  In honor of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and the decades long work she did to defend our human rights, Victory Garden offers you May Her Memory Be A Revolution. Gaze at your reflection in this mirror and let the memory of Ruth’s fortitude and strength inspire you to rise up and defend our democracy every day.
  
  The winning bid will also include an invite for 2 guests to attend a cocktail party on Saturday, October 23 hosted by Chris Burmeister.
  
  Enjoy great food, wine and conversation at host's house in the Albuquerque Old Town area. Art on display this year includes: Ellsworth Kelly, Florence Pierce, Richard Serra, Tom Waldron, Jasper Johns, Richard Long, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Robert Gober, Donald Judd, John Chamberlain, Andy Warhol Claus Oldenburg, Robert Indians and others.   This will be a small gathering and all guests are required to be vaccinated to attend.

• Shipping Info

  • The purchaser of this piece will be responsible for making an appointment to pick up the item in-person from 516 ARTS or pay for the packaging and shipment via the method of their choice.
    
    Winning items will be available after Wednesday, October 6, 2021 for in-person pick up at 516 ARTS by scheduled appointment.
    
    Buyers will be contacted the week following the auction to discuss pick-up or shipping arrangements. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and packaging costs.
    
    516 ARTS does not provide in-house shipping; we will make arrangements through our local shipper.
