Ronald Seager (American, 1930-2005): Red Barn. Oil on panel, signed verso, framed.
Rockport Massachusetts artist Ronald Seager was an active participant in the Cape Ann art scene. In addition to many fine marine paintings, he also produced several lovely oil-on-panel plein air countryside views. This one is signed on the back and features a barnyard with red buildings. See my other Seager paintings for other paintings made at this location which I call "The Red Farm". The location is most likely in Vermont, a favorite inland painting location for Cape Ann artists.
The prepared hardboard measures 12x16 inches, and the new gold frame is approx. 15x19
