Maynard Dixon (American, 1875-1946) Manner of: Nevada Mountains, 1938. Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right, framed.
Born in Fresno, California in the San Joaquin Valley, Maynard Dixon, originally named Henry St. John Dixon, became a noted illustrator, landscape, and mural painter of the early 20th-century American West, especially the desert, Indians, early settlers, and cowboys.

Great condition; small repair and retouch upper left quadrent; two inch area of paint loss upper right quadrent; quarter inch gouge with paint loss lower left corner. Moderate surface grime throughout.Condition
