Lionel Reiss (America, 1894 - 1988): Blacksmith's Shop (Buck's County, Pennsylvania, farrier), 1935. Watercolor on paper, signed, titled and dated lower right, mated, unframed,
Lionel S. Reiss, American painter, etcher and watercolorist began his career as a designer and illustrator, and held executive positions as Art Director in the advertising field, primarily with Paramount Studios. He is known for his creation of the "MGM Lion".
18.25 x 24.5 inches with mat; 13 x 19 inches sight.
Private collection, Madison, Wisconsin, USA; 2022 Private collection, New England, USA.
Great condition; paper is sightly wavy.Condition
