Josef Albers (German, 1888 - 1976): Homage to the Square. Varnished Lithograph on paper, unsigned, unframed.
A prolific 20th-century artist, known primarily for his "Homages to Squares," Josef Albers was also a highly innovative teacher associated with the Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany; Black Mountain College in North Carolina; and the Yale School of Fine Art in New Haven, Connecticut.
8.75 x 8.75 inches paper.
Private Collection, Delaware, USA.
Good condition, several 1-1.5 inch cuts near the left corner have been repaired from behind; scattered pinhole sized discolorations; several handling marks throughout.Condition
