Franz Kline (American, 1910-1962) Attributed: Abstract Composition. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, framed. There is a customs sticker on the back of the canvas.
Franz Kline, a key figure of abstract expressionism and well known for his black and white paintings, made a powerful contribution to the avant-garde movement. His emphatic, abstract paintings set down with strident confidence exemplify the Action Painting achievements of the Abstract Expressionists.
