Don Gray (American, b. 1935): Self Portrait, 1964. Oil on wood panel signed and dated verso. Framed.
Don Gray paints realistic still-lifes, landscapes, figures and self-portraits in acrylic, pastel, casein (opaque watercolor) and oil. He has an extensive record of exhibitions, and is represented in private and corporate collections. He is married to expressionist landscape painter, Jessie Benton Evans.
26.5 x 19 inches framed; 23 x 15.5 inches board.
Rhode Island Estate; 2021, Private collection, Boston.
Very good condition with light surface grime, more so in the heavily painted areas; light craquelure in the upper left quadrant.Condition
