A teacher, watercolorist, and painter of landscapes and missions of California, Dee Beebe also painted Native Americans of Arizona. She was born in New Orleans and raised in Galveston, Texas, where she spent her professional years. Her art training was at the Art Academy of Cincinnati with Frank Duveneck and the Art Students League in New York with William Merritt Chase, Kenyon Cox, and Henry Bayley Snell. She was a member of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors and the Watercolor Societies of New York and Washington DC.
