African Tribal Art: Mossi People, Burkina Faso: Helmet/Crest Mask with Snake, late 19th/Early 20th Century. Extremely worn, patinated surface, incised with geometric designs, showing traces of pigments.
Provenance: Private Collection, Massachusetts, Private collection, New York
Dimensions: 26" x 6.5" x 5.75"Fair. aged condition with evidence of handling and use, including abrasions, pigment loss and a minor wood loss on the lower rim. Please inspect the photos and videos, which supplement the written description and show the condition of this lot.Condition
