Founded 1903. Steuben is an American art glass manufacturer of high-quality collectibles and luxury housewares specializing in fine glass and crystals. Founded in 1903 by Frederick Carder and Thomas G. Hawkes, the company was acquired by Corning Incorporated in 1918.
After initially working with colored glasses, the company found glory in producing iconic colorless pieces in 1933. The heritage design company was sold to retail conglomerate Schottenstein Stores in 2008, after 105 years of representing American craftsmanship and luxury. The Corning Museum of Glass displays the largest collection of early in the world.
