Harley Davidson

Their history started in a tiny shed in the city of Milwaukee at the beginning of the 1900s. After planning for an engine designed for a regular bike frame, William S. Harley partnered up with Walter and Arthur Davidson to create what is today known as the “Harley Davidson”. They completed their first-ever model in 1903. This was their prime attempt towards the manufacture of the modern bike. The new bike operated rather smoothly, except for one glitch-- it could not climb hills without pedaling assistance.

However, the Davidson brothers and Harley were far from giving up. They instantly started working on an improved engine. They built a bigger machine and loop-frame design. In 1904, following the completion of their prototype, they decided to enter a local bike race, where it came fourth. In May of 1905, Harley Davidson engines were in production. By the year 1906, the Davidson brother and Harley moved out of the shed and into Harley Davidson’s first factory. In the span of 115 years, Harley Davidson has been recognized for high quality and innovativeness.

Today, the brand is also known as one of the most famous and largest manufacturers of the cruiser, touring, and custom motorcycles.
