Brazilian, 1963. Romero Britto is a painter, sculptor, and serigrapher well-known for his distinct graphic techniques that combine Cubist abstraction, graffiti, and Pop Art. Romero Britto's artworks feature vibrant colored illustrations and bold patterns, Disney characters, and animal figurines. His sculptures and figures often make use of geometric textures and patterns, rendering a fractured perspective. Romero Britto's artworks are known for portraying visual expressions of dreams, happiness, and hope.

Britto was born on 6th October 1963 in Jaboatão dos Guararapes in Brazil. The artist was inclined towards arts from an early age. He would often paint on cardboards, scraps, or newspapers. Although Britto was good at academics, he was still inclined to pursue art. The self-taught artist in 1983 went on a trip to Paris and France. The trip inspired his inclination to Modern arts with influences of painters like Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. Later on, Britto traveled to the U.S., where he started practicing Pop Art. After arriving in the United States, Michel Roux founder of the Absolute Art Ad Campaign, commissioned Britto to paint the famous Absolute Vodka bottle. This campaign was a breakthrough in Britto's career. The artist has also been a part of international fairs like the Art Salon Hong Kong and FIAC Paris.

Romero Britto's artwork has also been part of global exhibitions like the 2016 Presidential campaign of Governor Jeb Bush, Bain Capital, Philip Morris, Pepsi, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Enrico Coveri, BMW, and Disney. Popular media like Vanity Fair, Forbes, ARTnews, and The New Yorker have featured the artist's name. Romero Britto's artwork and public installations are found throughout Brazil, United States, and Switzerland. The artist currently resides in Miami, Florida, and continues to work there.
