American, 1924–2019. Robert Frank was an American photographer born in Switzerland and is best known for his series of photographs in his seminal book “The Americans”. His journey of cinematics started as a fashion photographer for Harper’s Bazaar. He moved to creative photography in search of a wider scope of work. His photographs, as he traveled across the US and the European countries, featured highways, cars, parades, and other iconic symbols of the place as central themes to depict an underlying bitter social commentary. Frank also arrayed into film making. His work, Pull My Daisy (1959), is considered a classic.
