Buccellati

Buccellati is an Italian jewelry company founded by Mario Buccellati in 1919 in Milan. There was a longstanding tradition of jewelry making and goldsmithing in the Buccellati family extending back to the 18th century. However, Mario opened a storefront, selling a distinct style of jewelry and silver. Over the next couple of decades, they expanded all over Italy and in 1951, opened a store in Manhattan and eventually all over the world. Mario's son Gianmaria, opened his own company and became one of the most recognizable jewelry designers in the world while Mario's other sons joined the family business. In 2011, Gianmaria partnered with the original Buccellati company. Their creations are highly prized because of they are wearable works of art in jewelry and silver objects.
