Anthony Gormley

British, b.1950. Anthony Gormely is a contemporary artist best known for his large scale sculptures that explore the human form as it relates to time and space. His large scale public installations consist of many figures, made of terracotta, cast iron or other materials, and typically are cast from his own body. Gormely also produced many series of works on paper expounding on his study of the human body.
