    The Finest 18th & 19th Century Pewter by Wolf Pewter
    Bette & Melvyn Wolf started collecting American pewter in the 1960’s and have not stopped. They began selling pewter, American, British and Continental and to a lesser degree other base metals in 1974, and their first antiques exhibition show was in 1975. They carry more pewter to shows than any other dealer, and while they have never had a bricks and mortar, they have exhibited at antiques shows and have a thriving online business. They maintain an active “want” list for those looking for something special, and they invite calls from collectors about pewter wants. Bette & Melvyn love pewter and it shows. They both have served as President of the Pewter Collectors Club of America, along with Honorary Membership which has only been awarded to a select few members. They remain active on its Board with Melvyn having served the longest of any member. Bette & Nelvyn have authored more than 150 articles on pewter. Melvyn's articles on identifying American Measures, Lamps, Chalices, Candlesticks and Porringers are industry standards, and their published book 'An American Pewter Collection' was a 500 limited edition.
