Shaw's Antiques store was established in the upscale gold rush town of Nevada City, California in 1934. From the beginning it was a must see store for the traveling connoisseur. Witherell's is excited to be working with Susan Shaw as she makes the difficult decision to close this venerable store, after 81 years. GENERAL AUCTION PAYMENT POLICY
101. INVOICES
Witherell’s will email invoices within 72 hours of close of auction. A Buyer's premium of 25% of total bid is applicable and included in total amount due. All payments are due within seven (7) days of receiving the emailed invoice, after which a late fee of .05% of the total invoice due will apply up to and including the day of payment in full. Note: We reserve the right to cancel any transaction.
102. ACCEPTABLE METHODS OF PAYMENT
Check, cash, money orders, bank check, wire transfer, and credit cards.
Note: Wire transfers require an additional fee of $20.00 domestic and $25.00 non-U.S.
103. PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS
There is a seven (7) day grace period on personal/business checks from date of deposit. There is a $30 returned check fee. Note: If Buyer's purchase is readily required and needs to be released for shipping or available for pick-up on a timely basis, please select another method of payment.
105. CALIFORNIA SALES TAX
All items picked-up at our location or shipped to a California address are subject to 8.125 % CA Sales and Use Tax.
105a. Exemption of sales tax Witherell’s must have a fully executed Certificate of Resale in person or via facsimile without exception.
106. INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS
Wire transfers, checks or money orders. All monies must be drawn on U.S. banks. Wire transfers require an additional fee to be included with your payment.
Note: Monies drawn on non-U.S. banks are not accepted. Domestic Wire Transfer Fee $20.00 -- International Wire Transfer Fee $30.00 fee.
107. SELLING AGENT
Bidders agree that Witherell's is acting as the selling agent for the consignor, and that Witherell's may use a combination of identifying letters and/or numbers for the seller, bidders, and buyers to satisfy all requirements of law.
