Welcome to RaritiesMarket!
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online auction platform for rare coins (RaritiesMarket.com, auctions.raritiesmarket.com, RaritiesMarket mobile app). By bidding, purchasing, or consigning items on RaritiesMarket, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us
RaritiesMarket is a platform owned and operated by Regency Rare Coins LLC, a Wisconsin licensed auction company (DBA RaritiesMarket). We offer weekly internet auctions for rare, certified coins (NGC, PCGS, CACG, CAC, ANACS). We also offer coin grading services and the option to purchase coins outright.
2. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use RaritiesMarket. We currently only offer sales and shipping within the 50 United States.
3. Coin Consignments
We accept straight graded coins from the listed grading services (NGC, PCGS, CACG, CAC, ANACS). Coins must be problem-free and numerically graded on the holder.
RaritiesMarket reserves the right to refuse any consignments from any consignor for any reason as permitted by law.
Consignor agrees that they have full ownership of the coins which they are selling in auction, that the coins have a clean title, and that once the coins are listed on the RaritiesMarket auction platform that their removal or cancellation of sale will be at the sole discretion of RaritiesMarket. Consignor agrees to pay all legal and other costs incurred while dealing with or recovering and consigned items deemed to be stolen or without a clean title.
We offer coin grading services for ungraded coins, with additional fees deducted from your payout.
Coin grading turnaround times vary.
See listing Fees and Seller Fees below.
We are happy to make an offer to purchase outright any problem free, raw, or other coins.
Return of unsold lots: If you would like us to return your unsold lots, or if your item does not sell after being posted five times, we are happy to return them to you. Please reach out to arrange. Please note: Coins are NOT able to be returned once they receive bids unless where legally required. Any requests for returning coins will result in checking for bids as soon as customer services reviews the request.
By default, all listings start at $1. To request a higher start price, you must declare this on the consignment form under the “Starting Bid” box. All starting bids will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
4. Listing Fees and Seller Fees
Coins which sell for over $100 and receive bids are charged a 0% selling fee on the hammer price. That is, the consignor will receive 100% of the proceeds of the hammer (bid) price.
Coins which sell for under $100 in auction (hammer price, not counting buyer’s premium) will be charged a $10 selling fee per item.
Coins which a user selects a starting price of over $1, and which fail to generate at least 1 bid during the auction, will be charged a $10 fee. The consigner may choose to relist the item up to five times with the approval of RaritiesMarket, but the $10 fee will still apply for each auction the coin fails to attract at least one bid in.
Return shipping costs for unsold lots are the consignor’s responsibility.
5. Insurance
Items in our possession are insured under our private insurance policy.
6. Coin Listing and Scheduling
We aim to list received consignments within 7-20 business days (usually sooner). You will receive links to the live listings after your items are listed.
Auctions typically end 2-3 weeks after being listed. Expedited listing may impact sale prices.
Consigned items may be given auction estimates before listing to help inform bidders of the item’s value as well as for internal metric tracking. As a consignor, you may refuse this auction estimate service but only BEFORE the auction has officially started. Once the auction has started and opened for bidding, you will be unable to remove these estimates. These items are simply estimates based on a range of wholesale and retail expected values. Actual bidding results may vary.
Consignors will receive an email to the address provided on the consignment form after the items are listed with links to their consignments. It is the consignor’s duty to find and notify RaritiesMarket of any errors or requested changes within 48 hours of receiving this email.

An additional 5% buyers premium (18%) applies to orders on Bidsquare.
New bidders have a $5,000 bidding limit. Limits may be raised upon request and approval, based on a number of non-discriminatory factors.

13. Binding Bids
Your bids are legally binding and a commitment to pay up to your maximum bid amount.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
RaritiesMarket does not offer financial advice. Bidders and consignors acknowledge the volatile nature of the rare coin market and hold RaritiesMarket harmless from any market fluctuations.
Auction estimates are simply estimates based on wholesale values, retail values, prior auction results, market trends, and industry experience. All bidders should do their own research before bidding.
