Western Visions is the National Museum of Wildlife Art's largest and longest-running fundraiser and is one of the signature events of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. Top contemporary wildlife artists and collectors from around the world will come together at the Museum in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The show features a wide selection of art for sale and the money raised from this fundraiser supports the Museum. The week's events, offered at the Museum's award-winning facility across from the National Elk Refuge, draw an international crowd to this critically acclaimed gathering. During Fall Arts Festival (and year-round), the Museum is a hub for art lovers, wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts, and more.

Historically an intent to purchase event, we are bringing the live auction back for the second time this year. The auction will include over thirty pieces by esteemed wildlife artists. The majority of these works were created specifically for this sale.

Terms & Conditions

SALE - The Western Visions Evening Art Show + Sale (Live Auction) will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, beginning at 6:30pm MDT. The estimate range of all artworks is determined by the artist.

AS IS - All artwork is offered "as is" where is, without any representations or warranties by us as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, the correctness of the catalog or other images or descriptions of the physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, medium, or frame of the artwork. No statement anywhere, whether oral or written, whether made in the catalog, an advertisement, a bill of sale, or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability.

BUYER'S PREMIUM - A buyer's premium will be added to the hammer price of each piece of art purchased and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase price. The online buyer's premium is 20% of the hammer price.

WITHDRAWAL - The Museum reserves the right to withdraw any lot at any time before the actual sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for such withdrawal.

PER LOT - All bids are per lot as numbered in the print and online catalogs.

RESERVE - All lots are subject to a reserve, which is the confidential minimum price determined by the artist. If the bidding does not reach the reserve price, the lot will remain unsold and the auctioneer will proceed to the next lot. All reserves fall at or below the low estimate. The auctioneer may begin the bidding below the reserve price, and may place bids on behalf of the consignor up to the reserve amount.

BIDDING - The sale format for Lots 1-34 is live auction; with live bidding taking place in the room and online, as well as the execution of absentee bids. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the buyer, if the reserve price has been met. The auctioneer has the final discretion to determine the successful bidder, cancel the sale, or to reoffer and resell any lot should a dispute arise. The Museum may execute absentee bids on behalf of clients who are not present at the time of sale; however, this service is offered as a convenience and the Museum will not be held responsible for any error or failure to execute bids.

PURCHASER'S RESPONSIBILITY - Winners must complete their purchase within 72 hours of notification. All sales are final with no exchanges or refunds.

SALES TAX - Unless exempted by law, buyers will pay an additional 6% sales tax on the total purchase price for all artworks picked up at the Museum or shipped within the state of Wyoming.

PAYMENT - Cash and check payments are preferred. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are also accepted. Payments by credit card will be subject to a 4% charge.

EXHIBITION - All artwork will remain on exhibit at the National Museum of Wildlife Art through Sunday, October 1, 2023.
