Clarke's February Sale will include a number of fine and important pieces of art, sterling and jewelry, midcentury and decorative arts.
The fine art selection will feature quality original paintings, prints and multiples, and sculptures by well-listed artists. Late 19th century and turn of the century paintings will start the sale and transition into a fine collection of early 20th century American paintings. The focus of the sale, however is on modern and postwar art, highlighted by a sought-after Wilhelmina Barn-Graham oil on panel glacier study, "Small Vortex".
The sterling and jewelry selection will feature a 2.2 RBC diamond, Georg Jensen flatware, diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, estate jewelry, Tiffany atlas, art deco star sapphire, estate tiffany jewelry, antique jewelry, silver hollow ware and flatware.
The antiques selection will feature two Steinway Pianos, a Tiffany lamp, and several rare lots.
The midcentury selection will include lots by Phillip & Kelvin Laverne, Edmund Spence, and various contemporary manufacturers.
