June 27, 2024, Nantucket, MA - Fine art, antiques, modern furnishings and Nantucket baskets from the island's seaside estates headline Rafael Osona's July 3rd through 5th preview gallery and July 6th online auction.

Presented amid collectible USA flags, eagles, and a uniquely patriotic red 1948 Jeepster, this auction's fine art category includes 203 lots. Among 19th century American paintings "Still Life with Strawberries" recons the bounty of a sunlit day's endeavor in summer fields. 

From the 20th century, American artist Donald Jurney's plein air landscape, Cornwall's Robert Jones' seascape and two dramatic maritime scenes by UK/American artist Brian Coole (image 6) merit a close look. 20th century Nantucket works include an iconic painting from Andrew Shunney's coveted "Geranium" series four paintings by Roy Bailey, and works by equally regarded Islanders Mellie Cooper, Robert Perrin, Joan Albaugh and others. 

Among 248 furniture lots, hand crafted works by Thomas Moser, Stephen Swift, and Stephen Huneck are standouts among luxury furnishings by American designer Holly Hunt, Thibaut, and Made Goods; each and all to be auctioned alongside Continental, American and Asian antiques and decor.

Osona's annual Independence Weekend event also offers South Sea and freshwater pearl jewelry, sterling silver, rugs and textiles, fine china and ceramics.
