Day Two is led by major Marshall Maynard Fredericks works, including the 1934 Baboon Prototype for the 1939 World’s Fair, and a Rodin Torse Féminin Debout. Highlights include Howard Chandler Christy landscapes from the collection of renowned cookbook author Julee Rosso, a strong print selection featuring Matisse and Calder, and work from the Estate of William and Betty Brooks, Detroit, MI, especially Romare Bearden and Annie Lee.
Day One begins with fine jewelry, including a jade and 18K necklace, Arman’s diamond “Violin” pendant, and gemstone rings including London Blue Topaz. It continues with a major Kindel furniture group from a member of the Kindel family, Grand Rapids, MI, then nearly 100 rugs from the collection of Margarat Weerakoon, Oak Park, MI, featuring Persian, Turkish, Chinese Art Deco, and other handwoven examples.
Day Two is led by Hughie Lee-Smith’s The Yellow Dress and Frank Bowling’s Rosignol from a prominent Lansing, MI collection.
